Good Dock Crabbing Spots

does anyone know any spots?
 I have been to Barneet marine park and got 5 keepers in 4 times heading up there. I heard of somthing called kates park i used to dock off there with my boat since its in repair i dont anymore. is that the right spelling anyway thanks bye!

I wouldn't eat crab from up in that area...at least not too often.

Cates will do..you might even get a lobster. The buddists release them there from time to time. Imagine my surprise when I was diving along, and a lobster swam by.

yeah i guess aquaboy. i always stay in the tsawassen area for crabbing ever since i bought the 12foot aluminum cartopper.

What kind of net should i use at kates and what bait please post a picture of the cage thanks: )

And why is eating crab there bad?

there is some dodgy industry up that way, and the water doesn't really get flushed well. The crabs I have seen from up there tend to have discoloration around the gills. I don't eat crab that aren't their natural colour

Any type of traps will work ie. box type, round ones and even the pyramid. Try chicken necks for bait

I'm not one to complain if someone eats a black bellied chum. If they eat it and don't waste it what's the problem here ?

I have a friend that eats the stuff under the shell , he claims thats the best part of a crab.
