Squamish November 19th
« on: November 19, 2004, 05:11:37 PM »

Not a whole lot happening. There was a small push of fish during peak tide but that was about it. Hooked a few fish but no keepers. :) Ended up walking around taking some photos while enjoying the warm sun. :)

Nice view when the sun came out.

Scattered carcasses being washed up by the last high water discharge.

Most cars were parked further up away from the river but still on the river bank. The dyke section was almost empty and plenty of space to park.

A buck resting in peace after doing his deed.

Glad to see you are atleast enjoying yourself. So Rod what do you fish for during the winter season other than Steelhead?

I don't fish that much in the winter... Actually, I don't fish that much at all. :) When I do, in the winter, I fish for:

Bull trout/dolly varden
Steelhead

Will be trying more on rainbow trout, cutthroat trout and carp as well this winter.

me and buddy are there too the whole day.
we fish the bar downstream of the mamquam mouth. (fish from 7:00am to 4:00pm) there's only a small push of fresh fish today but did'nt go in one push. they come in trickle,so the bite last until three.you'll just gonna have to observe where they are passing through.once you find the lane, hook up every five to ten minutes. lots of angler today, somewhere in the twenties or more.
got the fourth fish by three thirty :)and a sore left shoulder.
there's still vehicles parked at the river bed.
tight lines!

I am going for some Carp tommorow I will post it on the Coarse Fishing section and let you know how I made out. Trying the hair rig this time since I lost so many fish last time. I do allot of rainbow fishing here in the winter places like Sayres and Florence,Morgan and Devils Lakes as well as the local streams and creeks. I will be doing the steelhead thing as well. Of course being from Maple Ridge I do allot of Cutthroat as well. ;D
