lower Fraser May 8
« on: May 08, 2005, 04:19:47 PM »

Went to the north arm to do some barfishing this afternoon, no salmon to report but between my girlfriend and I we caught 3 dollys. The first one I caught was a chunky fish that put up a great fight, it went on a big run after I set the hook making me think I had a spring on for a bit.

Went to take a look under knight bridge. unfortunately it's no parking zone  :(
Have you tried fishing at the Fraser River Park and/or the foot of Shaughnessy Street ( by Raincoast Books and Coast Paper).

Looks like a bull trout.  Look at the upper maxillary.  Bull trout will have loarger mouths so the maxillary will go past the eye.  Nice fish though.  I guess roe was the ticket.  Although I have seen guys using spoons and nailing them too but too many snags on the bottom.
