I heard through the grapevine that there is a new tackle store coming to Abbotsford. Does anyone have details?

It's opening in a few weeks. It's location is at the watcom rd. exit. I believe Darrel from hub sports is going to be managing it.

Darrel from Hub???  So that is where he is going!  What a great location...I always stop there for Timmy's coffee.  Is it in the same building as Tim Horton's or the one behind with the McDonalds?

sounds like it is going to be fly fishing and camping gear, no drift gear at this time but that may change

I hope so (drift), it would would be a welcome stop on the way home from an outing, and being able to replenish stuff right then and there.

I drove by Whatcom tonight and sure enough, there is a sign in the window saying 'Reaction Fly & Tackle' opening soon.  It is right beside Tim Horton's.

I wonder if it has anything to do with Reactionbaits.com? They are also from Abbotsford.

If you want to see where Terry Skipper buys his crankbaits/how much he pays go to http://www.jannsnetcraft.com and click on Lure Making
 http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/Details.aspx?itemno=341500

Don't believe me?The photo below-linked from the Reaction Baits site-is 100% Janns NetCraft product.

I also note that Skipper is keeping very very quiet about the Bass angle/issue.
It's all politics of course-if he talks too much about how he'll feature a lotta Bass tackle some Salmon anglers/reps who supply them will get their panties in a major twist.
Interesting times ahead!

Why will some salmon reps get their panties in a major twist? I am rather new on this site, so please explain.
Thanks

Redside its because its an illegally introduced species. Some people have different takes on what should be done about the bass. Some people think not fishing is better than fishing for them and some people take the opposite angle on it. Personally I think taking your limit as often as you can is the better but untill enough studies are done we will never be sure on what can be done. Suppliers of salmon/trout tackle dont want to compete with bass tackle since this is BC and its a salmon/trout fishery.

Please don't make any assumptions... Reaction Tackle will be catering both fly and drift anglers who venture out to the Vedder mostly.
