Went out yesterday to the Fraser over at laidlaw&herrling island caught my first spring of the year man  did it feel good to have fish on almost forgot how it felt but was rewarded with a small jack ;D about 10-12lbs not may people there compared to the gong show on the weekend.Even then there were guys pulling them up i saw 5 that were landed.

Congrats on your Spring. I don't think jacks are 10-12 lbs though. I thought jacks were 50cm or just under 20" right now in the Fraser. I bet you caught one of these 3 year old Springs that are in abundance this year. Good eating though. Man I love it when those Springs take off.

My thoughts exactly rieber...jacks are 50 cm on the fraser 55 on the vedder.  Pug pumper's 8 lb vedder spring was 62 cm so either the name was misused or the sizing was off?!?

Did you tag your fish scruffy?  If you did, its not a jack according to the regs.
