Yep, they just kept coming and coming.....
Peamouth chub that is.
Those are Nina's hands by the way, see those nails? Fishin Chick did those yesterday.
They costed me $35 so I am making pictorial use of them.
If you, ahem.... your gf or wife or sis or mother, want to get the nails done,
give fishin chick a shout. We fished London's Landing today by the way, around the evening time. After crazily declined CG's invitation to this week's fantastic barfishing outings, I wanted to at least hook something to ease the craving.
Late last night, CG was still trying to convince me to join him and leave Nina at home if she didn't want to go.
Anyways, back to the fishing... clarity down around the estuary is still fairly bad. Visibility is only at around 6 inches. Still a huge amount of water coming down, making fishing rather difficult. Our first week of youth fishing camp has been fairly slow, but fortunately all of the young anglers caught fish.
This week's species caught include two different species of sculpins, peamouth chub, northern pikeminnow, shiner perch. The fishing turned on and off, even during the good tides.
The bird life also kept every kid entertained during the camps.
Baby swan around Steveston. It was awfully windy this evening, making the bites hard to detect. We still managed to catch quite a few.
The fishing wasn't complete without a hero shot.
Mr BullheadBumped into Obi Wan at the end of the day, couldn't recognize him as the last time/first time I met him was two years ago during pink season.
Sorry.
The last couple of days we have also seen some spring jacks surfacing in the shallows.
So anyways, the Fraser is on fire.
