Cap - August 19th
« on: August 19, 2005, 07:45:06 AM »

got up early for first light and was reward!  3 takes on this mornings trip, only one to the beach - a nice thick doe 3+ lbs.

fishing method was hardware (spoons and spinners).  cycled thru 12 different lures finding 3 fish all on different lures (variety in presentaion is key).

location will remain vague at "upper half of the cap"   ;)

good luck this weekend gang, I am hitting parksville for a little time away with the family...hopefully the clam diggin will be good!

Two days ago, I went to Seymour for Pinks. Disappointing!!!  :-\

So, I headed up to the Cap to burn about an hour. I got a bright silver buck on the fly on my 1st cast.  :)

Ya its dead low but if you know what to do...these fish are still accessible!

Nice thing is, besides the Aussie I invited along, there wasnt a sole in site.  Its nice when you can leasurely work a run and not have to worry about anyone walking in and fouling your plans.
