fraser is loaded with pinks
« on: August 23, 2005, 08:04:35 PM »

on my way home tonight from work, I saw looks of pinks jumping and rolling between the Alex fraser bridge and Deas Island slough. I pulled over a few times to make sure that I was seeing pinks rolling and jumping. There were a few guys fishing at some of the pull outs and they had a couple of fish. I guess they are finally entering the Fraser in decent numbers.

Good stuff.  Time to start tying more pink flies.  It's been a bit of a wait since the Squamish was closed...

checked it all out again tonight on the way home. There was a lot less fish moving and I did see sockeye jumping in the middle of the river but did not really notice much pink salmon action. Talked to a guy that said he had hooked a couple but I did not see any fish on the beach.
