I've been hearing about angling opportunities on these two rivers. Is there someone with past experience who can give me general driving directions as to where I can park and hike to a decent starting point? All help is appreciated.

In each case, you are fishing for less than a handful of fish which are all hatchery fish which have been planted in there, I know this from my former night supervisor at work.

i just made a post on this opps the serpintine is just down the house from me and last year during coho i got about 4 in 4 days.  the river is hard to fish with it being a sandy/weed botton if ur going to fish it fro chinook nice roe off the bottom with a little bit of lead and just use bar fishing technique i think i might header down there tommrow.

Nothing like exploring a new river, to me at least, and hooking the first fish. Are there parts of these two rivers where water would be clear enough to use lures?

I do notice that the outflow of both rivers lead to Crescent Beach. Anyone ever angled the river mouths for salmon in the same way people do for Cap or Seymour Mouth?

serpentine park right off no 10 hwy lots of nice water near there.for the nick go to 184 st in langley south of no 10 hyw u will come to a bridge,either side works.good luck

184th can get a bit crowded LOL so just look around for other access points on the Nicomekl

dont forget the Nic does also get a run of steelies

hey all.. living in Langley for the last five years i've fished the nick from 208th downstream to 180th... theres fish all over... go and explore and find them deep pools because there are big trout in that system....  i cant wait for them steelies... only probably 420 casts to go... then i might get my first... so the regular steelies setup would work? any tips on hooking my first there boys... <and girls> thanks all take it easy

I believe he is saying that these types of discussions about fragile river systems are better left to be discussed by PM.

Their are two ways of looking at that logic though.

Less publicity means less pressure.

Less publicity also means less pressure and less people trying to help those systems in need of help.

Its a tough one.
