No pinks up Indian arm September 5th
« on: September 06, 2005, 08:15:26 AM »

Spent the afternoon fishing the flood up at the head of the arm and along the east side of Crocker yesterday. Not even a sniff. Didn't see a single riser and even the seals seemed to be somewhere else. Asked a coupe of other guys up there if they'd had any luck but nope..not a thing.

Also dropped the prawn trap but got skunked again.(anyone want to share any secrets on where/how to catch prawns up the arm?).

Oh well, the boys got some good casting practice and it was a nice afternoon to be out in the boat.

Oh...there are two clubs in boating. Those that have forgot to put the plug in the boat and those that will. I joined the other club yesterday :)

DOH!

Hi Nikko,

Did you catch any crabs? Planning to visit Belcarra next week.

No, no crabs. But I wasn't fishing for them either. I'm just bgining to try and figure out these prawn things :)

There are crabs up the arm though. Surprisingly (to me) there's commercial guys out there daily.

(and thanks Chris :) )

two years ago about this time the arm was full of jumpers (pinks). This year, I've not seen one.. strange.

I have a friend who fishes indian rvier (C&R) for pinks when ever they are in...he has been dead silent which leads me to believe that are not in the river yet.  And from talk on the board, thats a fair statement for the seymour too.

after seeing whats happened with run timing on the fraser, I think we should expect 3-4 week delays on the standard arrival dates on all these summer stocks.
