The Lower Fraser or tidal Fraser is tidal influenced so the current is very slow, which makes any style of driftfishing impossible. What you would need to do is spincast. Cast a spoon, spinner or jig out from shore, allow it to sink for several seconds, and slowly retrieve it. When pink salmon come in large numbers, fish will follow/chase your lure and occassionally bite it. You'll feel taps as you retrieve when this happens, that's when you set the hook really hard. :)

Most fish are caught between 10 and 30 feet from shore. Pink, orange, green coloured lures have worked well. Prime fishing time can be anytime right now, all depends on when the fish are moving in. Bring a cooler filled with ice, as leaving your fish in the water is impossible, it'll just be washed away by the waves from the tug boats. ::) ;)

What is the law about treble hooks in the fraser? Is it just in tidal water?
