Re: question about private property and trespassing - shaw cable.

From my understanding is if you are not a subscriber and there is no agreement between shaw and the landowner for their cable to pass through the property you can choose not to allow them access to property. This is just my understanding you might want to double check.

PS You might also want to give Shaw a call to get the full detail what they want to do on your property.

They may have a right-of-way on the property.  You wouldn't believe how many people have rights of way on my townhome complex....reads like a yellow pages.

When it comes to the right of way they would only have access to your property. They can't come into your house without the RCMP and a warrant. The only reason they would want in is to see if your hooked up illegally. Tell them to F.O. and get a warrant!

i do believe at some point your gonna have to let them on your property cause the shaw box on the side of the house actually belongs to them just the telus box belongs to telus and hydro the same as well.About two years ago they did the same to me as well, because i also have a dog they didn't want to come in the yard all they wanted was to see was if i was still connected to their line in the box, cause i canceled subscription with and went over to satellite not a big deal
