Squamish Nov 8
« on: November 08, 2005, 08:44:50 PM »

The bite took a while to develop today but finally took off about noon.
All kinds of fish mostly Chum but did hook 3 Coho-all dark and sadly lost one to a #$%^&%$##$^&&*(( Seal!!
Lost another Chum to the same fat ragged assed pinniped bastid.
Actually there were two Seals both huge black and and powerful.

How was the water level and were you fly-fishing or gear?  Also, still good numbers of fish coming up?

Water was very low but came up a bit with the rain.
Decent numbers of fish all coloured up.
Seals deserve to die.

True storey is a couple years back at peg leg me and my buddy netted a 50 -75 pound seal. It kept running up to the shore where the fishermen lay there fish, then the seal would grab their fish and run back. This was during sockeye fishing at peg leg, but the seal was stupid enough to get to close and we netted it. Broke our net and got away but it was worth it, I still owe my dad a new net.
