greetings from spences bridge dec12
« on: December 12, 2005, 04:10:03 AM »

well boys and girls have been stompin the thompson for the past 2 days, just woke up, coffeee in hand and still shakin the sleep outta my eyes and we are gonna head er home. will be stopping by the chilliwack this mornin so when i'm done and the boys are ready we are hittin the road..... god it's 4:04 a.m. now........
as for the thompson, 4 guys 2 full days 13 fish. I landed 5, biggest was probably, and 3 of us were guessin, 27lbs!!! woohoo, my biggest steelhead yet. 3 out of my 5 fish came swinging big iron head spoons including the monster buck that damn near spooled me. Holy crap..... those fish can fight. The majority of the fish our group landed were on prawn/corkie rigs but 6 out of 13 came on metal from ironheads to k4's.
hopefully today will see some chilliwack steel on the hook..... I'll post when i get home

Trade secret. ;) You do the following (except adding the space in the code of course):

that's a beauty gofish has... mine might have been in that ball park but we figured more than 25 but less than 30 so we settled on 27, one hell of a prime steelhead. It was real fuggen cold...... :o , but worth it. 3 of my fish were nice chrome bullets between 12 and 17 pounds, all does, both bucks i landed were kyping up a bit in the snout and a touch rosy. we pounded the water and only really stopped for coffees and shorelunches. might hit it again in a couple days.

as for the vedder this morning, we stopped in at a spot near tamahi, darrel lost something in the 6 to 10 lbs class, shiny but didn't get a positive i.d. we hiked down the south side from tamahi and bushwacked into some nice water. I saw no action on my rod till about 9:30, a good solid float down with tigerprawn tail and spin n glo, A short splashy battle and the fish was self released 20 to 30 feet down river. my buddy said it was a wild fish and "bar chrome" but couldn't positively say it was a steelhead or not. that was all i saw for the rest of the mornin, packed it in at 10:30
