Subject: FW: Cheakamus
Dear Concerned
Subject to Squamish Nation Inherent Rights and Title, and furthermore
critical due diligence of meaningful Consultation with respective Ministry's
such as Ministry of Environment, subject to a fish species "At Risk" before
the CN Rail Spill in the Cheakamus River and now for the future; At Risk of
Extinction" because of lack of essential due diligence to make informed
decisions for this critical watershed are prepared to let Mother Nature take
care of a man made impact on a species already at risk and now a species at
risk of extinction. Why ?, because this BC Ministry can not get out bed with
the Corporation they allowed to run through our Squamish Nation traditional
territory for 999 years, if we stay silent on this first spill, then we will
have an extinct species because this river can not with stand another toxic
spill. The MOE owns the land on the right of way, they granted to CN Rail,
this means they also own the responsibility and accountability of CN Rail,
subject to their ministry mandate of environmental protection.
When we as a respective First Nation find that a respective ministry such
as; Ministry of Environment are not going to stand up to their delegated
mandate's of Legislation, Regulation's and Policy's, to protect their
species at risk, to protect the environment and furthermore protect the
collective rights of all people who put them into government power, then the
Squamish Nation must protect what our ancestor's have protected for
thousands of years, to protect a species who can not protect themselves, we
will exercise Rights & Title for this species at risk, and subject to this
have DFO and their personal, respective stakeholders and we the Squamish
Nation to "Just Do It"; the critical work that is required to conduct the
Steelhead brood stock.
Mat Foy, Tenderfoot Hatchery and any one else, Squamish Nation members, lets
start the work today!, to ensure a future for the Steelhead.
The work can be construed as a mandate from the Squamish Nation and we
manage this essential due diligence under our Rights & Title Mandate, if the
environment, ecology of species such as Steelhead is impacted then our
Rights & Title are impacted.
"JUST DO IT" We must get to work As Soon As Possible !. We must have a
emergency meeting and or teleconference call, when we as a Squamish Nation
are told not to proceed !, and or prohibited subject to a Ministry
jurisdiction mandate, then we are prepared to take the responsible Ministry
RA's to full task for breach of their delegated fiduciary, due diligence
mandates to protect the environment, protect the collective public and
furthermore impacting aboriginal rights and title in our respective
territory.
