The LOW and COLD conditions of late have turned
The Hunt in a frustrating direction lately. Usually it's just a simple matter (LOL!) of finding the fish, then
Game On. But now it has become almost an excersize in frustration trying to entice any kind of a response once you do!!
Been chasing a giant for a few days, seen him better than a dozen times, and can't get the image of the sheer size out of my mind! Haven't managed more than just a fleeting glimpse at the dozens of well presented offerings sent his way, but a couple have come to hand while trying. Here's a decent buck, one of 2 that day while working

Yesterday, gave up on the
Big Guy for a day (can't take much more than 3 straight days of endless frustration!!) and worked another flow. A couple to hand for me and my partner. This one fought like a demon for it's size. Loads of air time, and a dozen runs making the Islander scream with joy!! Expect that kind of battle from those much larger than this, and certainly was a nice treat to the day:
aYup, seriously addicted. You can see my scruffy appearance of late, Up and gone at first light, back well after dark. No time to pay any attention to such trivail matters as even shaving!!

Darn tough fioshing conditions. The weekend is here, and I'll leave the flow to the warriors and their droves. Shaving today, and starting the chase after the
Big Boy and new growth again come Monday...
