Good day in the fraser valey
« on: January 24, 2006, 06:44:36 PM »

What a great day fishing after school. i was started to get the itch to get out after a day  and so i went after school with my friend. We started out way down river wahere i didnt like so we started to jog upstream to the better spots are. after hitting some small hoes with no luck. so we hit some bigger holes and the first one looked pretty good. after 2 cast the float shoot down and the fight is on!!!!! ;D Did some nice runs down stream and up and about 4 jumps and it was just startiing to come in.  I bring it in about 2 feet away and i see its wild so i let my line go slack and go see the fish back to the water. but it did a little flick and the hook poped out ans swam away. so that was a easy release on the fish ::) ]

after stop skaing we start to go to the next spot. when we hit a couple more it was getting darker and darker. so as i slowy walk up to a nice little run. so i do one cast to show my friend where to cast and my float shoots down again!!!  ;D ;D so the fight is on again it does a nice couple runs and it sits just above the rapids. so i slowy ease in the fish fish and get it near my hands and its a HATCHY!!! so i bring hear on the beach and bonk him and say this will be the only one i will kepp this year ;D so we still had some runs to hit to see if my friend would get one but he ended up empty handed. he will get one next time he is still learning how to catch a steelhead ;D

Enjoyable read and report. To hook 2 steelhead in one day and after school as well is a very good day indeed. ;D

Keep up the good work, you have many enjoyable years ahead to enjoy our great sport of fishing.

Excellent photo's also. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Hey Nick, excellent job!!! I recognize those branches, and rocks. Good choice of water! You would make me feel great if you told me that my single eggs helped you out on those fish.? :)

I knew you would get one soon. Your well on your way to being a great steelheader. :)

Tight lines.
