Give Lafarge a go, since the location is convenient, close to shops if fishing really becomes boring. Rice Lake and Sasamat Lakes will most likely be very uneventful, a bit too cold I think.

Fished Sasamat and Buntzen recently, giving my pontoon boat it's maiden voyage. Pontoon works fine, but no fish. No one I spoke to had caught anything either. Water at Buntzen was 42 degrees F. on my fishfinder.

Kokanee in Lafarge? They must be quite small, cause that pond is very small, and shallow.

at this time lafarge would be your best bet. Buntzen has not been producing lately

Fished 2-4pm at Lafarge in a Fish Cat 4, hooked up with a stocky 14" rainbow beyond the jetty, on a #14 brown tom thumb. Tried lots of other patterns with no more takes. Ended the day with frozen feet.

I went to Buntzen lake this past weekend, spent almost all day there and caught nada, zero, zilch. Would I have known what I read here today I would have hopped over to Lafarge lake. Ah, well there is still next weekend.

Try Sasamat.  I fished there 8-10.5 am today,  it is fun. Hooked 7 average 10 inches, among them, a 46cm cutthroat. And the vista...

A few notes that worked for me, hope will help:
1. Try diff depth, bottom, 4 m, or surface.
2. Prepare long cast set up, chase where fish jumps.
3. Shrimp, power bait, worm should all work.

Thats not surprising. I think Rice is fished out, until they restock it. Wait til mid to late March for restocking.
