Yeh have you read the list of seminars at the show, pretty slim compared to what it use to be. Looks like Rod & freinds will have to pick up the slack. Play your cards right Rod and maybe FWR could get it's own free both next year.

Actually, the show has more exhibitors than previous years. :) I am looking forward to next weekend!

Quite a few members on the forum will be there.

As all of you know, CVRCC will have a booth right beside the Pro Fishing seminar stage. We'll also be conducting youth fly tying workshops throughout the show at the booth. Newsman will be there on Saturday showing everyone some of his favorite flies. On Sunday, Chrome Mykiss, Itosh, Trout Slayer will be there doing the tyings. Throughout the show, various FishBC members will also drop by to tie.

If you want to meet Chris, he'll be there on Friday from 5pm to 9pm. :D

If you are bringing kids, make sure you try the trout fishing pond, and check out the Freshwater Fishery Society of BC booth. They should have the big trout display tank again. Randog will be at the Pathway to Fishing section, which involves various kids fishing activities.

TNT will be there as well, talk to him about boats.

Mabelingwane will have a booth at the hunting section.

RA40 (Vic) will have his STS Guiding Service booth again, he'll also be doing seminars throughout the weekend on salmon and sturgeon.

Terry will have his Reaction Fly and Tackle booth.

uliwon will be doing spey seminars throughout the weekend, as well as his spey clave on Sunday at Peg Leg.

Hoof, ODG and Jack will be at the Min Kota booth.

Professor/Barry will be at the Islander booth so stop by to spin a pin. ;)

Did I miss anyone?? If so, my apology, post it below me.

Bumping this up for those who missed it.

Tomorrow I will be there from opening to about 6pm. Deb (from FishBC) and Steelhead King (Marco) will be doing the kids fly tying from noon until whenever. Chris will be at the booth from 5:30pm until closing (9pm). We look forward to see everyone there. :)

Be sure to catch Vic Carrao talking about river fishing for salmon and sturgeon at 1pm and 5pm at the Pro Fishing Stage, located directly in front of our booth.

For those of you who are purchasing the FWR subscription, you are welcome to drop it off with me this weekend as well.

I'll be taking all the kids to the show Saturday afternoon. They always look forward to checking out all the booths to see what kind of posters/stickers/etc they can collect... :-\ (more stuff that they need to find a place for in their rooms, in which they still have last years posters hanging up.. lol)
But they sure do have fun, and thats what counts. Our oldest boy always enjoys tying flies, so it will be neat to see what he comes home with this year.
See you all on Saturday... :)

Rodney has asked me to post that we are now in the Big Tent area, next to the Freshwater Fishery Society of BC booth. Drop in for a visit as I am there from 5 to 9 today Friday. I am the one with the Leaf Hat and a Maple Leaf Drennan to look at. ;D ;D ;D

I just returned from the show, a twelve hour day. :-\ ;D

The opening was busy as usual, the first two hours were rather hectic.

This local event is basically one giant festival, where everyone in the sportfishing community can meet up once a year and catch up on gossips. ;) At the same time, you get to check out all the latest products under one roof. :)

This is what our booth looked like today.

Thanks to Deb, Floon and Steelhead King for putting smiles on the face of many new young tiers today. You guys were great.

I phoned Gadsden at 10:00am while setting up and where was he? Getting ready to tube a fish on the river. ::) ;D He later came down and manned the station until closing. The hatchery only needs three more fish for the broodstock program!

Check out the bird show outside the hall!!!!! You DO NOT want to miss this.

The Pathway to Fishing setup (right beside ours) is fantastic too, a must visit for the kids.

See you all tomorrow. :)

Thanks Rodney for all your work on organizing the booth. It was great to meet Deb and Floon. Thanks to you both for giving of your time today to help the kids with the fly tying. Deb was kind enought to tie me a fly for my lake fishing in the Spring. I believe it is a leech pattern but I am calling it 'A Deb Special", watch for the results of it on the journal one day.

I brought along three Maple Leaf Drennans and came back with only one as Coho Cody ended up with one. Word at the show was his sister outfished him at the trout pond. ??? If he had the Maple Leaf Drennan on he would have emptied the pond of the trout of course. ;D ;D

Thanks to the Fish BC members for helping out at the booth as well and it was good to meet some of them tonight and other faithful readers of the journal on FWR.

Thanks again Marco for the coffee and leave those girls alone. ;D ;D ;D
