While you can keep the fish that you catch in most cases, catch and release is a common fishing practice in British Columbia. It is an effective way to ensure that our resource is sustainable, but anglers need to do it correctly or the fish may die after being released. In this video, Rodney Hsu of the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC demonstrates the dos and don'ts of catching and releasing a fish.
