I see your point Everyday. But I drove by yesterday and it was not as crowded. 2 weeks ago, it was more gong show than your pic shows as I watched it from the dyke trail. This shows that crowd vary day to day. Still I don't think the thread on this site contribute to crowding to that spot. Actually I was fishing at Peach two weeks ago and a trail jogger told me about 'the amazing # of fish hooked below the bridge'. So the spot is probably that crowded because its activity is plain to all eyes.

You are right... The thing that gets me most is all of these people think they are getting the fish to bite  ::)  I had one guy today beside me on the dike tell me that these guys were snagging and that it was wrong, then he went on to tell me how "he fished the runs from the bridge down." Apparentally he uses a 4 foot leader and a 5-6 foot float depth. He told me the fish just hammer it  :-\ I asked him if he was sure the fish weren't being flossed and he said no  :P

Bottom point is that, yes these runs are all in plain veiw of people walking bye. The worst part is that people seem to comform to methods that they see others catching fish on, which at this time of year normally consists of a bouncing betty and a 10 foot lead. I am not really saying that that one run was a "secret" but it was not visible from the dike.. and also not visible from the other side of the river unless you walk way in. My point is NOT that these spots are secrets, and that people don't know they are there, all I am trying to say is that I have seen many people walk right past runs before, and as soon as they see fish they no longer pass it up.

I try not to play the "blame game." I kept my mouth shut and simply said that I share the feeling that spots shouldn't be posted on the internet. Anyone can do what hey want, I really don't care. I, personally, would never post a pic of a spot I was fishing in, because I liek going back to spots where I have caught fish before. Now as someone else stated, I do have many more spots I can go to, they are just a longer walk. Today the long walk finally paid off with a 30+ pnd spring.

I went to my run first thing this morning, the one I hooked 5 fish out of juat after first light on friday morning, fully expecting to get a couple more as the conditions looked perfect..... water was really good and the rain should have brought in some fish.... guess what.... NOTHING.  This run was hot a couple days ago, now not even a riser.   There was also no one there, and only one guy at the second run I hit, with a couple accross the river.  That was it....  mind you there was no fish landed either other than a chum I snagged on the dorsal with a gold croc while tossing spoons to a school of Coho I stumbled upon.  They were moving fast though, and not hitting anything.  That was my day... saw some fish later in the morning, but nothin hittin this time.

So I guess what I am tryin to say is that some of the posters here are right, there is no golden spot that produces all the time.  I hit 3 of the spots I have had some good success with this past week and didn't touch anything.

Besides, Rodney already said that the spot they were wasn't really productive anyhow.  It was just a spot to get away from the masses. That doesn't mean it will actually produce a lot of fish.  Mind you I did get a couple steelhead out of there a couple years ago, then I never went back to that spot again after Steelhead season.
