New Setup???
« on: September 11, 2009, 09:57:56 PM »

Currently I'm using a gloomis GL2 1265 with a Luna 300 reel.  I've had it for two years now.  Used it many times in the vedder and the Fraser.  I'm thinking about buying a new setup a sage rod 3113 and a calcutta te.  Just wondering if its worth buying or is my current setup just as good?

I can't comment on the rod but there's no need to change your reel at all.

You don't need to change reel. I'm using Sage 3113 and Luna on Veder for two year and love it. GL2 is much better for Fraser.

Unless you need a ton of line capacity, you might want to check out the new Curado.  I love mine.

Any 10-20lb rod and any reel that matches the rod and holds 100 yards will do.

You could also get a line of credit and get the most expensive rod and reel money can buy  ;)

Absolutely true. However, nice equiptment can make the experience a little more enjoyable  ;)
