Non-tidal Fraser, August 17th 2011: Pipeline Bar
« on: August 17, 2011, 05:34:09 PM »

I fed a LOT of gear to the river but Mrs Dragonspeed and I came home with 4 socks (3F 1M) and just missed a spring at the beach.  Total time out: 4hrs on the river.

This is one SERIOUSLY snaggy bar, but it's nice to walk in through a cool forest instead of across a scorched flood plane.

Also - Seabird Island bar has "No Parking" signs 300m in each direction of the entrance :(  Sigh.

There were about 10 cars parked there... they apparently were wading SOMEWHERE.

Me & my 2 friends lost over 40 betties in total in one day of fishing the Snaggy Bar. That is $60 worth of betties on top of the $40 gas. All that for 6 soc, sigh.   :(  We need seabird & Laidlaw to come on board fast before getting broke with lost betties. What is the price of soc in the back lane again? That might be cheaper way to put soc on bbq.  ;)

Here's a link to a company's website that sells natural limestone rocks as weights/sinkers/betty's:  http://www.rockybrooksinkers.com/

A nice alternative to lead weights!

Nice report Dragon Speed
