Coho OK, bait ban lifted?

Is it OK now to bar fish with roe for Coho in the tidal Fraser?

Bar fishing is bottom fishing.  You  need a large enough weight to hold in the current (up to 18 oz in some places).  About 6" above the weight is a 6-8 inch spreader bar that looks like a "T".  The leader (about 30") is tied to to the spreader bar and should have a swivel attached.  The lure is generally a Spin n Glo and can be enhanced with roe (when allowed).  Here is a picture of a typical set up.

Below Mission most just use bait on the hook as there isnt adequate current/flow to spin a spin n glo or such.

The explanation and diagram provided by Sandman mainly applies to waters in the non-tidal portion of the Fraser River, specifically between Hope and Chilliwack. If you are fishing in the tidal portion of the Fraser River, then a simple three-way swivel set-up (one 1ft eader to the hook, one 2ft leader to the weight) is good enough. Your hook is baited with cured roe.
