Rice Lake-Nov 5
« on: November 06, 2005, 10:40:21 AM »

Fished from noon-5 pm. Couple of bites..that's all. There were 4 other people-all got skunked... One girl landed a small rainbow..wondering where are those 750 trouts that were stocked recently  ???

Any one has a link for depth chart of rice lake? Also, does anyone know the ideal line length below the float for this lake?

Hehehe... you dont want to hear this but i was there on sunday afternoon....

Spent a total of 35 minutes fishing... I kept my four....... caught 10... the only reason why i kept the four is because they were badly hooked..

and yah 4 feet works well...

I went to rice lake on sunday from 3-5 to throw a fly line around for a little while.  Had three on the line, but I couldn't seem to keep them there.  Not sure if they were just wee or had soft mouths.  Perhaps I was trying to bring them in to quick, who knows.....   anyway, there were a few jumping around, but I didn't see any come out.

you did the right thing by cutting the hook. some people actually try to narl the hook right from their throats and then release them.
