I decided on Saturday (at 2:00am after imbibing a few) to hit the Vedder with my buddy the next morning. Picked up my hungover pal just before 7:00 am and made the drive from downtown Van to the Vedder. Stopped in at Tim's for a few...ok four breakfast sandwiches with sausage to try and assuage the nausea. It worked
Started up top and worked our way down. We went through Ranger, Prison and another run that Nuggy took me to that I don't know the name of. Saw a nice Steely caught at Prison, a guy got one at this other no-name run and then we headed down toward Lickman where we finished our day talking to a super nice guy about Steelheading. While we were yakking, the guy got one on but lost it and then told us he'd got a couple last weekend. I was tempted to toss a few casts but we just talked about different methods of curing eggs, types of eggs to use and he was particularly pleased with the new rod he'd received from his son-in-laws; a Shimano Technium.
No fish to report but a great day to explore and learn. Here are some of the pics I snapped during the day.
