Oh.. OK.. Im still keepin it and askin how to cook it so it doesnt taste like mud like other people tell me.
The Urban stocked lakes are a good place to practice your fishing technique and get your fishing fix. I have kept a couple trout before just after a lake has been stocked...not the best tasting fish. I've done catch and release for the most part since then. If you ever get a chance to go fish in the interior on the lakes or rivers you'd find it's quite a different experience.

So, cook your trout filets, skinned, pat some seasoned flour on them and pan fry in some butter and a squeeze of lemon.

Some people like that real spawned out taste of those big ones.  :) Or the just eating the "hunch" for lunch off the smaller ones. :-X To each his own, or whatever that saying was. There's always some sort of sauce to put on top that will help them go down.

That little one was bit of a mutant.

At first I though someone had pulled its stomach up with a deep hook set but then I noticed the humped back - just a little deformed.

Or is it a Pink Male Humpy?  ::)

I release all the fish caught in Mill Lake. So many nice fish though. The ones that survive a few years look really good and are real scrappy 16"ers.

I should have gone out there today.  ;D
