You're right Bryan. This years kokanuts do seem a little smaller on average but I think that is just a naturally occurring cycle.

Someone posted a bigger/chubby one that was much larger than average - so who knows.

Don't miss out on this fun opportunity.

-As most of you seem to be still fishing, casting or jigging and kokanee school I expect you tend to get similar bite on, bite off and similar size fish when bite is on.
--I usually trawl and although I do hit schools I find larger fish tend to skirt the fringe or below the main school, even cruise as lone wolf.
--With three in a boat and catching might try one person either casting further out or if deep enough dropping through the schooling fish.

--As I target larger fish, I often catch less total numbers. Usually I have something different from what everyone else is using or if same lure different colour.

--I use a lot of small dodgers or sling blades with wobble type trailing spoons, spinners or flies. Sometimes use scent on the spoons.

I only fly fish for them. I caught upwards of 20-40 fish in a day two years ago on a regular basis. That was not going deep either as I use a clear intermediate.
