Log Islands on the North Arm Fraser River

Does anyone know how those big piles of logs floating in the North Arm affect the Pink Salmon migration?  Is it a disadvantage if there's too many logs piles around where you are fishing?

They'll just go over them, oops, I meant under them. ;) The disadvantage of fishing near these is the risk of losing your fish when it runs into them.

Pinks do go through there, usually in the second half of the run (mid September).

I can't believe with the amount of fishing I do at dump bar and in east Richmond I have never run into Rod seems like a tonne of his fishing is done in the middle and south arms.

I live 5min from the dyke.

Yeas but I wish it wasn't half a tank of gas from where I live to the Chilliwack area (both ways) though.... or a 5am wake-up to get there by  abit after 615am.

I want this year to the first that I can nab a coho in lower Fraser. I have never been able to do it!
