I like playing around with then. When my float goes down I wait and see how long it will stay submerged. Really surprising how long it'll stay down.

Sadly I busted my favorite rod on one because I didn't put it together properly  :'(

Aw, was that you?  Sad to see, but like I said, always carry a spare.

I tried that last weekend and started counting.  After about 5 seconds I pulled back on the line and I think the fish had already hooked itself lol.

Just double checking, as far as coho retention on Stave River it's:

"4 Hatchery Marked fish per day, only 2 over 35cm."

Thanks.

Were you the young guy who gave me the tips on C&R technique?  If so, thanks much, it was great talking to you and I learned something that day.

Fortunately I had the cheap spare that I brought along for my wife but it was not as much fun to fish with.

Do not think so, as it has been a while since I was referred to as "the young guy" (too many grey hairs in the beard).  I thought you were the guy fly fishing near me that had his rod explode on a chum.  We only spoke briefly as he was walking out.

Were you the man who was fishing next to me with his wife?
