Was trolling in front of the Cap yesterday, had on on and lost it at the side of the boat, and had another solid hit, so they seem to still be there.

Fishing from shore has generally been slow this year. Better luck to be had if you were fishing in a boat

I'm almost convinced the weir building is getting better and better every year.  Alot of effort being put into moving all those rocks. They've got a little channel now where they can dip a net to grab fish as opposed to doing their snag thang.  I see that as an improvement(keepin it positive).  Perhaps this is where the fish get through overnight while everybody's asleep?

I heard from a fellow fishing the freshwater side of the tracks that enough fish get past the weirs to stock all the streams and rivers in the area.  So he wasn't too concerned about the weirs.  True?

On the tidal side,  I saw many coho jumping.  No hits for the shore casters.  Lots of baitfish up close to shore in spots.  Watch out for the doggy doo as you’re observing the water  ;D
