Vedder and Fraser July 30
« on: July 30, 2005, 10:17:31 PM »

Went to the Fraser first.  Very ittle visibility where I was I tried to bar fish, but figured it was a waste of time, but I know others have been getting fish.

Went to the Vedder arong 10:00 am - swimmers everywhere.  Headed over by the Train Bridge to try a little fly fishing and float fishing. Found an abandoned campfire going full bore.  The fire was in an small opening in the trees - What were they thinking?  Spent 15 minutes hauling water up from the river to put it out.  Down to the river - busy, busy busy - with float tubers (not the fishing kind).  Watched someone on the trainbridge hook a sockeye and take 15-20 minutes to play it, because he was on the bridge.  His buddy eventually agreed to go down and tail it and release it - I assume it is now dead.

Back up to the truck - the fire has kicked up on its own.  Boy did I almost blow it.  This time myself and another fisherman made sure it was out.

no fish, but fun nonetheless.

Thanks for the good citizenry redlad: lots of the braindead wandering among us out there, unfortunately.
