Joined up over a year ago but have been checking the threads for the past couple.  Thoroughly enjoy being on the site, especially reading the ongoing banter (and insults?) between some of the members.  Since I've been posting a little more lately I thought I should put in a profile:

     Name:  Brent Davy
     Age:  51
Residence:  Surrey; teach school there, too
Marital Status: To a great woman who loves to fish when her shoulder is not too sore
Years fishing:  49; my dad started me at the Fraser catching jacks and lakes trolling flies at age 2
Catch and release 99% of the fish I catch
Favourite fishing spots: Oct.-Dec.31 Thompson for steelies, iceoff to Sept. various lakes
(trophy bows) but mostly the lake our cottage is on, Jul.-Aug. summerrun
steelies, salt water beach fish , Sat.-Sun. at the lake (I'm off all summer)
New adventures:  Last two years ocean fishing coho on the fly, Queen Charlottes this summer,
and spring break casting to big bows on the Columbia (very excited about this)
Hobbies:  rod building, tying flies the last 35 years, and training with the SFU sprint team the
last13 years (but retired from competition at 50 when we bought our lake cabin)
Misc. Info: Have a 23 yr. old daughter who's a kickass flyfisher and a 20 yr. old son...ditto,
love the Canucks; never miss a game (my wife can't stand to be around me when
they lose), love to eat Thai, Italian, Mexican, Sushi, and more....

Looking forward to running into some of the other FWR members.  Cheers!

Name : Tom Lancaster
Age : 28
Live : Langley
Married with baby on the way  ;D
I have a four year old son named Dylan. Soon to be a great fisherman. Dylan has already caught a 1lb bass in Ontario at the age of 3.
Favorite fish : Steelhead
I'll fish anywhere from the Salmon river in Langley to the Thompson near Spence's bridge. I've been pounding the Vedder for Steelhead like most. Love the Chilliwack river its treated me well. I'm very much into catch and release and respect those
that do. I'm also very concerned with preservation of our rivers and fish stocks. One of my goals of this site is to learn more about
efforts to maintain our waters and keep the stocks around for our kids. By the way I noticed the clean up signs at the Vedder
Thanks to the people involved. I've been fishing since I could walk from Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, to all over this fine province.
I've tied flies for 8 years and enjoy any kind of fishing.

Hi, I'm Duayne McKinney from Brookings Oregon located on the southern coast. I have lived here for 20 years and fish the Rogue, Chetco, Sixes, Elk and the Winchuck rivers for salmon and steelhead.
Why did I log into this site?
To gain knowledge from up north.
If I can share anything, let me know.
