Hey,

I'm Rob from Surrey here. Been angling since I was a kid; started with bait fishing for rainbows and have moved on to fly fishing for 'em lately (though I still toss in the 'ol worm n slip-float on occassion). Spring fishing the Fraser is my new addiction; got my first one last week while bouncing for sox and am hooked! What a rush it is battling a hard-fighting 20 lb fish while up to your waist in a semi-fast flowing river!

When I'm not fishing I enjoy learning more about the sport, as well as: bodybuilding, playing guitar, and playing racquet sports (esp. badminton and tennis). My favorite beer is Guiness Extra Stout, though I'm really into Magner's Irish Cider these days as well.

Tight lines!

Name: Ron Munroe / Nicknames: Ronnie Pache, Patches, The Patch
Age: 36
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Marital Status: Married
Children: 1 on the way, and 2 dogs that are child like
Favorite Food: Greek/Med
Favorite fish species: African Chiclids in the tank, Rainbow trout on the line
Favorite Fishing spot: My Grandparents cabin in Northern Ontario, and recently Sasquatch Pk. in Harrison
Other Info...Grew up in Northern Ontario, fishing for bass, pickerel, and lakers.  Got out of fishing for too long when I moved away for school, and work.  I was able to transfer out to Beautiful BC with my job in 2006, and now have gotten back into fishing.  Mostly stillwater rainbow fishing in my floattube, but I am really interested trying river fishing, and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the pinks to "get my feet wet".  I started fly fishing last year, and love it!  I also love baseball, travelling, and aviation.

Favorite food:  Rare steak
Favorite fish species:  steelhead

Other . . . Grew up fishing on the Fraser, Vedder & Chehalis since they were right across the border and so much better than the fishing south of the border.  My dad and I almost drowned on the Chehalis last October and I'm not too anxious to go back there right now.

Name: Luke
From: Australia, moved to Kelowna a few years ago and Vancouver 6 months ago after a stint back in Aus.
Residence: Vancouver
Marital Status: Long term relationship
Favorite foods: Sashimi, ribs, steak, poultry
Favorite fish species: Salmon
Favorite fish species for fishing: Anything that will eat the hook at this point. Despite all my constant research on gear, location, timing and technique, I haven't landed a fish in Vancouver! I've spent about 40 hours total after coho in the Capilano and about 10 hours total so far in the Fraser after Pinks with nothing to show for it. I'm hoping to catch the end of the pink salmon run once the commercial fishing closes.
Favorite rivers: Capilano and Fraser, nice spots so close to the city are great.
Other misc. info: My main passion is music, followed closely by art, design and anything that stimulates me creatively. I work as a graphic designer. I love thunder storms, traveling and quality time with friends talking about the bigger questions in life.

Hey folks... been living in Vancouver for 5 years and decided to get back into fishing this summer. Haven't really done much since I was a teenager.

I tried my hand at the pinks this year on North Arm near Foreshore park and came back skunked every time.... musta been doing something wrong  :-\ Instead - went out onto the Vedder on the Sept long-weekend and caught (& released) some rainbow trout instead  ;D

Looking forward to learning more about what's in these rivers and lakes around me and hopefully teaching my son how to fish here too one day.

Cheers!
Dan
