Checked out a few spots mid river tonight after work and only saw 1 or 2 fish. I think the pinks are done. Hooked one small chrome fish that got off, not sure what it was but only a pound or two...

I cannot have dropped that much in the last week, really?  There were still a lot of fish last Sunday in the Langley area.  I am hoping to take my 5 year old out on Saturday, but may have to head up to Harrison.

It's unfortunate but true.  Just look at the Test Fisheries counts for pinks that were posted earlier. Yesterday was about 1/10 of the result from last week.

Fished at Surrey area this morning. It is as dead as can be - no fish for any one & no rises.

Landed one and lost one port man area 12.00 - 3.00   Not much happening but fingers crossed the commercial closure will make a difference.

Fished the Surrey Area in the afternoon for a few hours. Some people were leaving with fish as I got there.  Saw some rollers, but over all quite a bit slower than last week. I hooked one, but lost it within a few seconds.  Saw only 2 fish get landed out a group of 20 to 30 people.  This pink season is winding down fast.

Real slow at 2 bit first thing this morning, so me and 2 buddies headed to the Vedder. Between the 3 of us, I would say we hooked into 200 fish, landed 140-150!!!!

What a day, mostly old fish this AM, but by about 1pm a HUGE rush of clean fish came in and EVERYONE got their limit of clean fish in less than 30 minutes!!!!!

So disheartening to be stuck on the other side of the world at work and only being able to read all about it!! lol :(......oh well.....a little over 3weeks and at least I can be there for the coho and vedder gong show, lol.......I guess provided the river is not blown out at that time  :o

The season ain't over until the last fish goes through the river. ;D This one was fooled when the tide peaked this afternoon.



Based on previous seasons, fishing usually tapers off by this time of September but that doesn't mean it is not worth going out for them. Small schools can be encountered and between now and early October, you just might run into situations when you hook into chinook, coho, chum, pink, cutthroat and bull trout all on the same day in the Tidal Fraser.
