worked at the north end of alouette for years and had a picture from b.c. outdoors magazine inside my locker door of a young girl from maple ridge with a 30 pound plus lake trout caught late 70s early 80s. Out with her family they ran out of spinning gear so dad hooked her up with a mooching rod ,flasher, weights and big metal lure that were spares on the boat

What??? I don't understand the connection. Whatever - someone wanted to see a photo of an Allouette Lake Trout and there it is pictured at the Narrow beach. I didn't take the picture.

Looks like the sun is almost directly overhead to me. But since you mentioned it, there does to be some questions on shadows. I wasn't there to confirm. Nice fish though.

The 2 photos of lakers are legit but from a long time ago. They came from Alouette. The one held by the guy in the orange floater coat was caught in 1998 in a gill net by BC Fisheries. Theoretically, there could be a behemoth or 2 cruising around in Alouette.

Sorry to hear a big bull trout was mishandled and released or killed ... there are not many in the lake. Having said that, retention of 1 char is allowable, for now, so there's nothing wrong with killing one. Sticking hands in the gills before releasing one is another story.

Buntzen Lake supposedly has Lakers as well.  Has anyone heard of or seen one caught?

Buntzen does not have Lake Trout, Salvelinus namaycush. They are not native to the region and have not been stocked in Buntzen.
