Father's Day Family Fishing Weekend at Rice Lake

The
Seymour Salmonid Society will be hosting its annual "Go Fish
Rice Lake" event from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Sunday June 18th.
Catch some rainbow trout from Rice Lake, enjoy the nature walk in
the Seymour Conservation Reserve and try out the famous wild salmon
BBQ!
Spend a day with your children, let them take you fishing! Like
the outdoors? Want to spend time with friends and family? Heres
the perfect excuse. BCs Family Fishing Weekend taking
place on Fathers Day! Learn all about fishing, have a chance
to win cool prizes, and have fun! No Fishing Licenses are need for
this event! Fishing is free that weekend.
Event activities include:
- The Famous Wild Salmon BBQ!
- Birds of Prey from the fine people at Orphaned Wildlife
- BC Hydro Power Smart
- Free loaner rods and reels for those without gear
- Fishing tips and demonstrations
- Fish talk and posters- introducing people to fish and their
habitat
- Fly tying demonstrations for the kids

- Great food to eat
- Prize giveaways
- And much much more; come on out and enjoy a day in the fresh
air!
