Seymour River Steelhead Regulation Change
Posted on September 12th, 2006 by Rodney Hsu, webmaster

Please note that a regulation change requiring trout/char release (including all steelhead, hatchery or wild) within all portions of the river that are currently open to fishing, including those portions of the river downstream of the Spur 4 bridge, will come into affect on September 4, 2006.

This regulation change will provide support towards a 2-year Seymour River steelhead population study that was initiated earlier this year.  Results of the study are considered to be essential for the conservation and management of steelhead stocks within the river.

The regulation update can be seen on this page.
