Thompson and Fraser River Steelhead Openings
Posted on October 16th, 2006 by Rodney Hsu, webmaster
Based on positive results for Interior Fraser Steelhead in the Albion chum test fishery, the Fraser River has been opened to fishing beginning October 16 through December 31, 2006, from the Highway 99 bridge at Lillooet downstream approximately 1.2 km to BC Hydro's tail race outflow channel. This change was intended to coincide with the Thompson River opening, which came into effective October 14, 2006 (to Dec. 31, 2006). That fishery is located in the Thompson River between the fishing boundary signs near Kamloops Lake to the CNR bridge near Lytton.
