Posted on November 24th, 2006 by Rodney Hsu, webmaster
Fisheries and Oceans Canada released a notice on August 4, 2006 describing a tagging project that was being undertaken in 2006. Floy tags were affixed to sockeye and harvesters were advised that they would be eligible for a cash prize for tags retrieved and returned. The final date for submission of floy tags from this project is extended to November 30, 2006. Fishers are reminded to send in any tags prior to this date with information on when and where the tag or tags was recovered and what gear type was used.
