Well after a few minor errors with the boat trailer Myself and "MichaelT" Finally arrived at the lauch. By this time it was nearing 6:15 which meant only 90 minutes to find some fiesty pink salmon. Tonight I came armed with a something different than most nights hopeing to fool a pink salmon into attacking my Jig presentation.
As I made my way through the murkey lower fraser river I noticed far out in distance many fish breaching the water. So I did what most would have done and went over there. To my suprise a massive school of pink salmon were making there way upstream in the middle of the river. Quickly i dropped anchor and mike and I started to cast. Right away I was into a nice fat doe however it managed to jump its way to freedom right near the boat. After 10 minutes or so with no hits Michael is questioning his guides ability
. So I throw over a beautiful Gold hammered croc and told him to retrieve dead slow and I will gaurentee a fish on your first cast. Sure enough half way through his retrieve he yells fish from behind me and it wasent long after till a nice 6-7lb male pink salmon was netted and retained. I then switched up to a jig and on the first cast it was fish on! the rather large male was netted.
Action like this continued for another 40 minutes or so with us hooking into well over 10 fish and landing a few. All in all was a excellent night out on the river and im sure MichealT was not disapointed.
Here are a few pics taken from a cell phone. Sorry for the bad quality
