Hi My user name is Butch1949, and although new to membership, I have followed Fishing with Rod for several years now and have learned so much from this site and the links, I particularly like the Discussion Forum......so informative.  I am technically challenged when it comes to computers but have enough speed built up now to make my way-lol    I'm from Toronto, and have made B.C. home now for 23 years, live in Surrey and started fishing 11 years ago out here, caught my first fish a Chum at the Vedder Canal, my son now 15 I had started fishing when he was 4 years old and to tear him away from electronics I simply ask:  Do you want to go fishing.......Gone!!!

Hi there!

I'm just getting on the wagon as far as fishing in BC is concerned. I moved here from the Maritimes 4 years ago, the rod and reel haven't seen very much action but that's about to change. I had my guide's license and did a tonne of fishing and hunting in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia growing up. I've angled all around North America and worked as a commercial fisherman in the Indian Ocean in Australia and the Northumberland Strait. Can't wait to hook some trout, salmon, steelhead, flounder, sole, bass, and whatever else is out there. I'm fishing saltwater and freshwater, no boat. Tips and advice very much appreciated.
