The BC Federation of Driftfishers will once again be hosting its annual family fishing day at Lafarge Lake on June 20th. This is a featured event of the BC's Family Fishing Weekend.

The family fishing day begins at 10:00am. The Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery will be releasing rainbow trout into the lake. The day will include kids fishing with instructions and gear provided. Prizes will also be given out throughout the event.

Lafarge Lake is a lake in Coquitlam. It is one of several lakes in Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC's Fishing in the City program. It has plenty of easy shore access for anglers, including a newly installed fishing dock.
