Common Errors in Tying Chironomids
Posted on January 30th 2014, by Hatch Match'r Fly & Tackle
When you think of chironomid fishing, names like Brian Chan and Phil Rowley come to mind. Little is known about another equally experienced, knowledgeable chironomid angler whose travels have
taken him province wide.
Tom Lam has fished chironomids for the past 40 years, honing and perfecting his skills to a level most of us will probably never achieve. His attention to detail with regards to every aspect of
chironomid fishing shines through when you see his collection of flies that represent every stage in the chironomid's life cycle.
On February 21st, you will have a chance to learn from the best. Hatch Match'r Fly & Tackle will be hosting "Common Errors in Tying Chironomids", featuring Tom Lam. Join us as Tom demonstrates tying five of his favorite patterns and talks about many common errors that occur when tying/fishing chironomids. Bring a pen and paper because there is going to be a lot of information you are going to want to remember.
