British Columbia still water fishing season is fast approaching and one fo the most effective technique is catching them by using chironomid patterns. If you are new to fly fishing and would like to learn more about it, here is a great opportunity for you! Hatch Match'r Fly and Tackle is offering a one-day chironomid fishing course at its learning centre, hosted by one of the most experienced chironomid angler, Tom Lam.
Tom brings close to 40 years of chironomid fishing experience into the classroom, delving deeply into one of the most technically challenging disciplines of stillwater angling. This one day lecture, designed for intermediate anglers, emphasizes the use of an indicator and instills a rigorous and disciplined approach to this fishery. Topics covered include how, when, where and why, as well as tackle, knots, flies and etiquette.
