Possession Quota

Possession quota is the number of fish that you are allowed to have with you when staying away from your permanent residence, such as a camp, RV, hotel or lodge. The possession quota is usually two daily quotas, but there maybe exceptions so it is best to check the regulations before your fishing trip.

The possession quota is designed to prevent people from keeping as many daily quotas as possible when travelling on a fishing trip. For example, if you are doing a three day fishing trip and keep your daily quotas of fish on day one and two, you cannot keep another daily quota of fish on day three since you already reach your possession quota.
