Kootenay Trout Hatchery 50th Anniversary Open House

Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC's Kootenay Trout Hatchery in Fort Steele is 50 year old! To celebrate, the hatchery is hosting an open house on Saturday April 23rd.
The celebration will include tours of the newly renovated facility, demonstration of fish culture such as fish spawning. Visitors will also be able to access the fishing ponds, there will be fishing and other fun activities for kids. Bull River Ranchers' BBQ Association will have food concessions set up for the public. This is a free event!
Kootenay Trout Hatchery is located at 4522 Fenwick Road in Fort Steele.
