Hatch Match'r Fly and Tackle is pleased to present a two-day introductory course on fly fishing in lakes and streams. This course is designed to give fly anglers, novice to advanced, a solid foundational understanding of fly fishing from terminology to strategies.

Topics that will be covered include:
Finding fish.
Figure out what flies to use.
Interpret the language of fly anglers.
Build the confidence to become a successful angler.
Over the time spent with Jeff you will gain an understanding of food sources, along with the external influences that affect fish feeding behavior. These influences include:
Water temperature.
Weather patterns.
Color and the two forms of vision a fish uses.
Odour.
Sound.
As an added feature, Jeff will also share with you:
A brief rundown on the history of fly fishing.
A detailed explanation of equipment, rods, reels, flies, accessories and their use.
Tips on water safety.
Respect for the resource.
Final class also includes a 1 hour casting lesson so please bring your gear!
