Volunteers are needed to help bag fertilizer for the summer stream enrichment projects on Tuesday June 8th or Wednesday June 9th, between 8:30am-4:30pm at the Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery (34345 Vye Road in Abbotsford). This is a very short notice but any help would be great. Please stop by even if you only have a bit of time to help as many hands make the job much easier. The job entails putting the fetilizer into burlap sacks for distribution. The fertilizer is in solid form so there is no smell or mess. Volunteers will also be needed for bag placement in the near future. The summer stream enrichment projects are part of the steelhead recovery program in Southern British Columbia.
