Chum Salmon Tagging
| Description | Fisheries and Oceans Canada has been tagging chum salmon along the Chilliwack/Vedder River in BC between early October in 2017. This is part of the mark and recapture program which hopes to have a precise estimate of, not only the chum salmon population in the Chilliwack/Vedder River, but also in the entire Lower Fraser River. In this video, biologist Matt Townsend explains how the study works and what anglers can expect to see. |
